SURREY MEN'S EXEMPTION REQUEST
The Slam's primary objective is to offer more cricket to more people and as such the Player Eligibility rules are in place to ensure that it's competitions are not dominated by players from the higher levels of our amateur game who already have enough cricket to play.
However, it is recognised that teams with comparatively more limited playing resources may require some flexibility in order to fulfil a fixture. As such teams can apply for one of the following:
- Exemption from PE.4a, PE.4c, PE.5a or PE.5b for players who have only played for their 1st XI on a very limited number of occasions;
- Exemption from just batting or bowling element of PE.5a or PE.5b because that player has a very limited record with either the bat or ball.
Teams wishing to seek an exemption should complete the form below as far in advance of the match they wish the player(s) to participate in and no less than 48 hours before.
Any player exemption is not valid until confirmed in writing (either by email or text message) by the Competition Manager and it is the team's responsibility to declare ALL currently exempt players to their opponents prior to the toss being conducted.
