NOMADIC TEAMS
The Slam prides itself on being open to all, and as such we recognise that not every group of players that want to take part are affiliated to an established club with their own ground. For this not to be a barrier The Slam deploys a specific arrangement for nomadic teams to make it simple for them to take part whilst compensating appropriately those clubs that host matches on their behalf.
In order to cover the ground costs incurred by the home clubs, nomadic teams pay a supplement of £70 per game where a nomadic team is effectively having a game hosted on their behalf in the group stages, which The Slam uses, in full, to compensate those teams that host matches on your behalf. In most competitions this is for 2 matches (£140 supplement) but in some instances it is 3 matches (£210 supplement).
Payment of this supplement is required at the point of team entry and is then held in trust to be paid to the host clubs after the appropriate match is played. When selecting your entry on the payment portal, ensure you select the "without home ground" option.
The Slam is committed to including as many nomadic teams as possible, but due to logistics only so many teams can be accommodated in each competition. In order to protect the integrity of offering a nomadic option, such teams will be admitted in the following order of priority:
Nomadic teams are required to submit payment in full at point of application, but if it transpires that team cannot be accommodated then direct contact will be made to explain the reasoning and a FULL refund (with no admin fees) will be issued without delay.

- New teams whose associated club (if applicable) DOES NOT already have access to a ground for other competitions; then
- Teams who have participated in The Slam previously whose associated club DOES already have access to a ground for other competitions that do not directly clash with The Slam; then
- New teams whose associated club DOES already have access to a ground for other competitions that do not directly clash with The Slam.
