We are absolutely delighted that The Slam has come to Hampshire.
Unlike Surrey and Sussex that came before it, Hampshire has a number of localised midweek competitions already in existence and doing excellent work providing accessible cricket for those that participate in it. The Slam is committed to work alongside these competitions, not against them and as such they retain their structures and those teams that come out on top will have the opportunity to enter into The Slam's latter stages.
Despite what these historic competitions offer there are some areas of the county that aren't catered for when it comes to short-form, midweek cricket and some clubs and teams that these structures just don't quite suit. It is these gaps that The Slam is helping to fill.
Full details of how The Slam works and what it can offer Players and Teams alike is covered in the ABOUT section of this website, you can also find the rules for the Hampshire Slam Men's competition HERE. Please do have a look at this information and you'll see exactly what has made The Slam so attractive across the southeast of England.
Its just £90 to get involved, which includes at least 5 matches, 6 pink match balls, fully bespoke team logo, Finals' Day at a leading ground in the county and above all inclusion in our social media marketing campaign to drive new members. The exact format each year is dependant upon the number of teams that get involved, but that will be communicated in due course. Entry for 2023 is now open and can be submitted now via the link below:
