We are absolutely delighted that The Slam got underway in Kent in 2022 with our Women's competition, and saw meaningful expansion in 2023 culminating in a pulsating first Finals' Day.
The growth in the women's recreational game is clear for all to see and this is reflected in The Slam, which launched its first women's competition in Surrey in 2019 and is now across four counties (also in Hampshire and Sussex), with the number of teams growing in each.
The Slam primarily acts as an entry to hard ball cricket competition for female players of all ages, providing a perfect bridge between junior and senior cricket as well as offering a convenient and fun way into the game for those who have always wanted to get involved. However, in addition to that The Slam also provides the option of a higher level of short format cricket and the intention is to offer both in Kent in 2024.

Full details of how The Slam works and what it can offer Players and Teams alike is covered in the ABOUT section of this website and the agreed rules for the Kent Slam Women's competition, including how we will offer two tiers of competition in 2024, can be found HERE. Please do have a look at this information and you'll see exactly what has made The Slam so attractive for nearly 300 teams across the southeast of England.
Its just £97 to get involved, which includes at least 5 matches, 6 pink match balls, fully bespoke team logo, Finals' Day at a leading ground in the county with independent umpires, and inclusion across our popular social media channels to help drive new members.
