The Slam is thrilled to confirm that an open competition will take place in Middlesex in 2026.
A long-standing hotbed for the game on a weekend, its time that the appetite for midweek T20 was satisfied.
As with our other counties, The Slam's commitment in Middlesex is to provide every team with at least five T20 fixtures to be played midweek in a localised group stage thereby providing the environment to grow momentum for the short format within your Club. From there how many more games you play is down to how you perform as teams compete to qualify for the 4-team Finals' Day where 1 will lift the trophy.
To get the ball rolling we are starting with a competition pitched at the Cup level to maximise the number of players eligible to participate, but we are intent on growing the number of competitions available in future years. The key details for this competition in Middlesex can be found below, but be sure to have look at the rules around player eligibility, the match format and fixture management in particular to get the full picture of how The Slam makes this format of cricket inclusive and convenient for your Club to be a part of.
As an introductory offer, THE FIRST 24 TEAMS will receive 15 bespoke design coloured cricket shirts.
